I redesigned the UMN Recreation and Wellness Center website for my Advanced Web course. I work on their marketing team and knew that the site was due for an upgrade, so I designed and coded this user-friendly and modern interface. I started with the wireframes by recategorizing the web pages after some research on other university recreational sites. After that, I knew I wanted to implement a vertical sliding navigation bar to improve accessibility. My design choices reflect a modern and fresh take on the usual university recreational site, and my color choice is based off of our EmpowerU campaign that I developed with my marketing team. This was a useful learning opportunity for experimenting and building on my experience with Javascript and JQuery.
