The Minnesota Invite is a week-long annual swim meet held at the University Aquatic Center where swimmers gather from all over the midwest to compete. The Aquatic director requested a new logo for the event that would capture the midwest winter aesthetic, as the event is held in mid-November. I researched past logos and experimented with a variety of forms, texture and typography. The director selected my vertical iceberg logo, and after some latter variations, the final logo was approved. I then created a single color logo for the printed t-shirts and the other event materials including the water bottles, awards, banners and credentials.
