As a Minneapolis based company, Bite Squad wanted to have a presence at the 2018 Super Bowl. We acquired a band of pedicabs for tourists to get around in the bustling downtown area. Our concept was a “no pants, no problem” idea, making riders appear as if they were in their underwear. Artwork and photos by me, and copy by Christina Haller.

S'Enso Packaging Design
S'Enso is a brand I developed for my packaging and display course at the University of Minnesota. It is an elegant, high-end soy sauce brand that seeks out the top shelf buyers of premium soy sauce. The packaging design involves a Japanese enso etched into the glass bottle, a symbol of peacefulness and a state of zen. The brand extension includes the original soy sauce along with a citrus and ginger flavor. I created a point-of-purchase (POP) display to showcase the product, as well as to familiarize consumers with the brand.
I also had the S'Enso brand sponsor an event called the Taste of Japan. This annual event is thrown by the Bloomington-Izumi Sister City Organization that runs a delegate exchange program between my home town and Izumi, Japan. My family is heavily involved with the organization having hosted three delegates, so this is an event we volunteer to help out with every year and is also very dear to our hearts.

Minnesota Invite Event Branding
The Minnesota Invite is a week-long annual swim meet held at the University Aquatic Center where swimmers gather from all over the midwest to compete. The Aquatic director requested a new logo for the event that would capture the midwest winter aesthetic, as the event is held in mid-November. I researched past logos and experimented with a variety of forms, texture and typography. The director selected my vertical iceberg logo, and after some latter variations, the final logo was approved. I then created a single color logo for the printed t-shirts and the other event materials including the water bottles, awards, banners and credentials.
NENA Brand Identity
The Nokomis East Neighborhood Assosiation (NENA) is a non-profit organization that serves and supports many residents and business owners in the South-East corner of Minneapolis. The were in need of a new brand identity, and I chose to redesign their brand for my Identity and Symbols course. After writing up a design brief, researching other neighborhood logos, creating a mood board and producing 100 sketches, I went on to refine the brand and create other materials such as a communication system, website, and an app icon. Below is a concise preview of my design process.
